Why this research matters
ADHD studies at Lumos typically enroll adults, and at times adolescents, with a confirmed or suspected diagnosis. A full diagnostic evaluation is part of screening, which for many adults is the first formal ADHD assessment they've ever had, provided at no cost whether or not you continue into the study.

Common questions
Often, yes. Adult ADHD is commonly missed early in life, especially in women. Screening includes a structured diagnostic interview, so you get a real answer, not just a questionnaire score.
It varies. Many current studies specifically investigate non-stimulant approaches. The study team will tell you exactly what's being evaluated before you consent to anything.
The screening team reviews your current medication and tells you precisely what a given study would require, some allow continuing, some don't. Nothing changes until you've agreed to it.
